Liudmila Gavrilova passed away on October 30, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her daughter by her side, surrounded by love and held deeply in the hearts of her family.

Born in Moscow, Russia, Liudmila devoted 54 years of her life to MGIMO University as a respected professor. Her deep knowledge, dedication to her students, and passion for education influenced countless lives and left a lasting legacy.

Liudmila was happily married for 48 years and lovingly carried her husband’s memory in her heart during the 14 years following his passing. After retiring at the age of 78, she moved to the United States, where she happily spent the last seven years of her life surrounded by her daughter’s family and their love and care.

She is survived by her loving daughter Elena and her son-in-law Valeriy, who cared for her faithfully and supported her throughout her final journey.

A funeral service will be held at noon, on Monday, November 10, at St. Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Dayton, Ohio, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and pray for her eternal peace.

Liudmila will be remembered for her resilience, her warmth, and her remarkable ability to bring joy and comfort to others. She lived with dignity, love, and faith — and her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
