It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lori Hutnyan, a beloved member of the Centerville community. Lori, born on June 3, 1965, in Richeyville, Pennsylvania, was the cherished daughter of William and Bernice Hegedus. She completed her education at Bethlehem-Center High School in 1983 before pursuing a career in nursing at the Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1986.
Throughout her 27-year career, Lori dedicated herself to serving at Military hospitals, bringing compassion and care to countless patients. Her devotion to nursing was a source of pride for her, shaping her into a compassionate and dedicated individual. In 1986, she married her late husband, Thomas Hutnyan, and together they raised two sons, Joshua and Matthew. Lori's love for her family knew no bounds, as she supported them wholeheartedly, attending every game and event with unwavering dedication.
Lori derived immense joy from cooking, often experimenting with new recipes and watching cooking shows in her leisure time. Her love for her family extended to her furry companions, Ness and Sid, whom she treated as beloved members of the family. An avid gardener, Lori cultivated her own herbs and enjoyed engaging in various hobbies like crossword puzzles and Scrabble game nights.
A devoted parishioner of St. Paul's Eastern Orthodox Church since 1998, Lori's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions with compassion and kindness. She is preceded in death by Her parents William and Bernice Hegedus, and her Husband Thomas Hutnyan.
