MESKA, Lucille, 98 of Beavercreek, Ohio met her beloved Savior on June 16, 2023. Lucy was born in Fayette County, Kentucky on April 19, 1925, to the late Lewis Edgar Bridges and Verta Texas Wallace and was the third of four girls. She earned her B.S. in Commerce from the University of Kentucky in 1949 and would spend the next 60 years in the accounting field, including 30 years as owner of Meska Accounting in Xenia, OH, finally retiring at age 90. Lucy met E. Norman Meska in 1952 at a YMCA dance in Dallas, Texas and would share 44 years together before his passing in 1997. Lucy loved reading, solving crossword puzzles, Sudoku, Scrabble, hand quilting, water aerobics classes, and making sure she got in her allotted steps for the day. She loved traveling and cherished spending time with friends and family. Lucy spent her life in Christian service, serving her community with her expertise in the accounting field and service at East Dayton Christian Church as treasurer, Sunday School teacher, youth leader, bible study teacher and mentor for many years. She enjoyed tutoring students at Orville Wright Elementary School and impacted many lives and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are three children, Marilyn Erickson (Paul), Bellbrook, OH, Robert Meska (Esther), Carrollton, TX, and Nancy Davis, Kettering, OH, four grandchildren, Benjamin Davis, Kettering, OH, Michelle Linke (Rob), Lake Stevens, WA, Joshua Davis (Erin), Kettering, OH, and Matthew Meska, Carrollton, TX, eleven great grandchildren, Kimberly and Anna Davis, Kettering, OH, Lillyanne, Jossalynne and Zander Wilt, Englewood, OH, Gabriel Groner, Broadway, NC, Ryan, Caleb and Nathan Davis, Kettering, OH, Johanna and Esmeralda Linke, Lake Stevens, WA, one great great grandchild, Isabelle Cervantes, Kettering, OH, nieces Judy Arnett Fitzpatrick (Russell), Mt. Sterling, KY, and Evelyn Miltenburger (Tim), Waynesville, OH, nephew Ron Ferguson (Cheryl), Nashville, IN, many special long-time friends, and dedicated caregivers, Heidi Gulley, Teresa Burden and Kay Lynch. Lucy was preceded in death by her sisters Elizabeth Ferguson, Pauline Tipton, Lee Trowbridge, grandson Jeffery Wright, granddaughter, Leah Groner and nephews David Tipton, Stewart Trowbridge, and Gary Trowbridge.
