Marilyn Jean Beeson, 96, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of her devoted family.
Born on August 10, 1929, Marilyn grew up with a bright spirit and an open heart that touched everyone she met. At just sixteen, she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Beeson, Sr. They shared an extraordinary bond, married for 77 years and in love for 80 years, a love story that became the steady heartbeat of their family and a lasting testament to devotion.
Marilyn was the proud mother of Robert Beeson (Ginny) and Bonnie Cook, and the beloved grandmother of Jacob Cook, Justin (Amy) Cook, Joshua (Jenna) Cook, Robert (Brittany) Beeson, Abigail (Matthew) Riley, and Daniel (Mystelle) Capizzi. Her joy only grew with her great-grandchildren: Delaney, Jace, Jackson, Jamison, and Ava who brought endless smiles to her heart.
A lifelong resident of Dayton, Ohio, Marilyn dedicated more than 20 years of her professional life to serving others as a Learning Disabilities teacher, helping countless children discover their potential. At home, she was a devoted homemaker who created a home filled with laughter, warmth, and love.
Marilyn’s life was guided by faith and love. She was a Godly woman whose quiet strength and unwavering positivity inspired everyone who knew her. A true social butterfly, she found joy in playing Bridge, dancing the jitterbug with her husband and often leaving others in awe of their rhythm, as well as volunteering at her church in her younger years. She loved to travel, explore new places, and share those adventures with her family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Clifford; her siblings, Jack, Kenny, Christine, Loretta, Geneva, and Junie; and her beloved great grandchild, Graham.
Those blessed to know Marilyn will remember her infectious smile and laugh, her ability to make everyone feel special, and her unshakeable belief in thinking positive no matter what life brought her way. She was the foundation of her family, a living example of grace, love, and faith.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her husband Bob, their family, and all who were fortunate to call her friend.
