Marilyn Ann Marlin, age 73 of Centerville, passed away on July 8, 2026. She was born on October 10, 1952 in Richmond, IN to parents Kenneth and Dorothy Lucille Landis, and grew up in West Alexandria.
Marilyn dedicated her professional experience to a number of companies, including Ernst Concrete and Biel Photography in their accounting department. Later, she was even able to freelance her own clients.
Marilyn dedicated her time, energy, and kind spirit to organizations such as the Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue, transporting Sheltie’s across state lines to find their forever homes. She was also a moderator of the GMC Acadia Chat Board, where she ensured that common courtesy and integrity were observed through chats.
Marilyn loved to travel, especially to Gatlinburg, TN. She was an avid collector of Longaberger Baskets, Louis Vuitton, artwork, and anything sparkly. Particularly around Christmas time, Marilyn enjoyed decorating and arranging festive decorations. Marilyn also enjoyed fine dining, pairing it with a dirty martini.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Landis.
She is survived by her nephew, Christopher Landis; cherished friend, Regina Johnson, and former husband and friend, Joe Marlin.
Graveside services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, July 15th at Mound Hill Cemetery (533 W. Main St. Eaton, OH 45320).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue in memory of Marilyn and her love for her dogs.
