SHEEHAN, Marilynn Jane (Hamilton) passed away peacefully in her own bed on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the age of 93. She was born in Miamisburg on April 21, 1929 to the late Hubert and Dorothy (Newland) Hamilton.

They were married June 16, 1951, before Jim left for El Paso where he was stationed during the Korean War. During the ensuing years the three children were born, and they moved to Oakwood. Marilynn taught Sunday school and was a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. The kids’ friends affectionately called her mom, and she was well known for having pool parties. Marilynn was a bookkeeper for Carriage Trade and Frame – Henson Asphalt Paving. She was a founding member of Christ United Methodist Church and remained very active. Marilynn was a past vice president and property manager for the Oakwood Historical Society. After retirement, Marilynn and Jim travelled the world and made many new friends. Marilynn was an energetic, fun loving lady, who was devoted to her family and friends.
