In Loving Memory: Martha Janet (Richards) LeBoeuf
Martha Janet LeBoeuf (Richards), wife of the late Dr. Martin (Marty) LeBoeuf passed away on April 23rd, 2026, at the age of 90. Born in Junction City, Ohio, Martha was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother whose life was defined by her devotion to her family, friends and her deep Ohio roots. Martha was the daughter of the late Willard T. and Lillian G. (Paxton) Richards. Growing up in Junction City, she shared a vibrant childhood with her siblings, including those who preceded her in death, sisters Catherine "Cass" (Richards) Knecht and Mary Ellen Richards, and her brother, William "Bill" D. Richards. She is survived by her sister Jane (Richards) and Joe Welle of Bemidji, Minnesota.
Following high school graduation, Martha successfully completed an Associates Degree program at Ohio University in Athens. Martha then moved to Columbus, Ohio where she met her husband Marty while he attended Dental School at The Ohio State University. Marty and Marty as they were known were married at her parents home in Junction City in 1958. Martha cherished Marty and their reunification now is a source of happiness for all.
A long-time resident of Oakwood, Ohio, Martha carried the values of her Perry County upbringing throughout her life. Martha dedicated herself to her children, and her husband’s success. Though born in rural surroundings, Martha lived a robust lifestyle that included gardening, traveling, golfing, collecting oriental carpets, and a passion for The Ohio State University Buckeye football program. She genuinely appreciated the patient friends that included her in the Wednesday night dinners in recent years. Perhaps her greatest attribute was always providing an inviting and welcoming home to neighbors, family friends, relatives and their extended family.
Martha’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her four sons and their families Bob & Heather; (Jack, Charlotte, Phillip), George and his fiancé, Barb; (Kathryn (Robert Sheehan), George, Robert (Mickaela), Will (Margot), Lee), John & Melanie; (Margaret), Bill & Leigh (Ole, Henrik, Penn, Richard) as well as three great grandchildren; Charlotte, Vivienne, & Colette. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who fondly remember "Aunt Martha" for her warmth and grace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Dayton, Ohio on May 8, 2026, at 11 AM, followed by private interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Evans Scholars Foundation in Martha’s memory.
