Monica L. Crawford, age 57 of Centerville, OH passed away on March 29, 2026. She was born on October 10, 1968 in Johnson City, TN to parents Earl and Regina Crawford.

Monica graduated from New Richmond High School in 1985. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati in 1998. Most recently, Monica received her Master’s in Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University in 2012.

Monica was a compassionate and dedicated public servant, spending her 20+ year career in social work. Her most recent position was as a review specialist with the state of Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Through her work, she helped many individuals improve their quality of life through community integration and independent living.

In her free time, Monica loved to garden, travel, and spend time with her grandchildren and cats.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Maggie (David) Murray and Michael (Tara) Crawford; siblings, Matthew (Joy) Crawford and Melanie (Chris Mount) Cosby; grandchildren, Nash and Norah Crawford and Montana Murray; nieces and nephews, Sarah and Mitchell Crawford, Emily Holt, and Noell Cosby.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, April 11th from 2pm-4pm at Routsong Funeral Home Centerville (81 N. Main St.), with a service to follow starting at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Breakthrough T1D (formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
