A 1952 graduate of Fairview High School in Dayton she earned a degree in accounting from Sinclair College which she put to use at Elder-Beerman’s Department Store. She was a long-time member of her beloved Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren, holding many positions that included youth group leader and camp counselor. With her joy of music, one could find her singing her heart out in the church choirs and the Kettering Senior Show Choir. Her love for gardening and ability to grow ANYTHING led her to become a member of the Here and There Garden Club and the Miami Valley Hosta Society. She was an accredited Flower Show Judge with The Ohio Association of Garden Clubs, Inc. where she was a Life Member. A voracious reader, she usually was carrying more than one book at any given time in one of her many bags. Pretty things always caught her eye and she loved florals, so celebrate mom’s life and think of her when you wear your bright colors.
