HUNT (James), Naneda, age 96 of Centerville, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Naneda (Nan, Granny, GG) was born in Maloneton, Kentucky on October 2, 1925 to the late Bruce & Florence James.
Naneda lived a full & loving life, she was a beloved wife of 67 years to the late Carl E. Hunt, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, church greeter and friend. Naneda was a hardworking homemaker and a retired employee of 25 years from Staco Electronics. A woman of strong faith, Naneda was a 40 year member of the Kettering Assembly of God, where she was a greeter for 30 of those years. Granny, as she was known by many, always stepped out in style…she was a true fashionista! Granny loved clothes, fancy shoes, having her hair done, and jewelry (especially earrings). Granny enjoyed decorating for Christmas, cuddling with her four great grandkids, and having her family over for meals.
Naneda was preceded in death by her siblings, Theodore James (Embell), Dixie Goetz (Richard), William James (Maye), Bonnie Copley (Larry), and son-in-law Robert J. Barlow (“Bobby”). Her memory & spirit will be kept alive by her caring daughter, Debbie; grandchildren, N. Tenille (Joshua) Redmond, Brandon S. (Kelcey) Barlow; great grandchildren, Brace, Parker, Carlee and Montgomery, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Joy Brewer (Nan’s church friend and neighbor), Austin Trace Staff and Crossroads Hospice for their love & support.
Friends are invited to celebrate Nan’s life on Saturday, April 16th at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E. STROOP RD, KETTERING anytime from 11-1PM.
