Nora "Wanda" McCaslin

June 16, 1939 — May 14, 2025

Beavercreek

MCCASLIN, Nora “Wanda”, age 85, of Beavercreek, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

She was born June 19, 1939, in Falmouth, KY to the late Pleas and Minnie Johnson (Hubbard). Wanda came from a large family and was the youngest of many children. She was a country girl who loved her family deeply. In her free time, she worked on puzzles and met up with friends at the Moose Lodge in New Carlisle. Wanda loved to travel, visiting Myrtle Beach, Florida, and the Pink Flamingo House at Indian Lake. She went ziplining and horseback riding in Indiana and toured a castle in Cincinnati.

Wanda worked tirelessly to make her house into a warm and loving home for her family. That warmth carried over into her career, where she worked in the Home Health Care Industry. Wanda was firm in her faith, and believed she didn’t need to be in a building to be close to Jesus. She was a kind woman who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John McCaslin, and her many brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her children, William G. Sharp, John H. Riesenbeck, Roberta Pound, and Robin Vixler; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Wanda’s great-niece, Tonya Kolodzik and Hospice of Dayton for their excellent care of Wanda. Private family services will be held in the care of Routsong Funeral Home.
