Oleta Fay Bruner

BRUNER, Oleta Fay., age 89, of Kettering, Ohio, went home to our Lord Thursday May 14th, 2026. Oleta was born in Darke Co. Dec. 25th 1936 to Miles Ray & Imo Ford. She was a 1954 graduate of Jackson High School and a 1982 graduate of Sinclair Community College. She worked in retail before getting her license in real estate and joining her husband’s company Big Hill GMAC Real Estate. She was an active member at Christ United Methodist. She enjoyed many hobbies and loved travelling all over the states and world. She loved to put together scrap books detailing her many adventures.

Oleta was preceded in death by her parents, Miles Ray & Imo Ford, husbands Richard (Dick) Bruner and Dan Karn, brother Ralph Ford and sister Orlene (Ford) Whitaker.

She is survived by her children, Pride (Anne) Bruner, Justus Bruner and Faith (Jim) Cox. Grandchildren, Terrah & Tasha Bruner. Sisters Norma Prater, Margaret Mitchell, Janene (Alan) Barone as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, May 22nd , 2026 at Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd., Kettering, with Pastor Brian Law officiating. Visitation will precede the services from 9:30-10:30. Burial in Ithaca Cemetery, 711 SR-503 OH. Food will be available afterwards at the Ithaca SunRise Church. In memory of Oleta, contributions may be sent to the Shriner’s Children Hospitals, 1 Children’s Plaza, Dayton OH 45404.
