JONES, Patricia Ann “Pat”, age 87, of Washington Twp., died Saturday, April 11, 2026. Pat was born April 22nd, 1938 in Cincinnati, OH to the late John and Anna (Hall) Keller.
Along with her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her siblings; her husband of 58 years, Richard Jones; her son-in-law, John Monnett; and her grandson, Antwuan Walder. Pat is survived by her children, Richard (Anita) Jones, Anna Monnett, John (Susan) Jones, and Patrick (Dan Keefe) Jones; grandchildren, Ava (Paul Holden) Jones, Ian Jones, Claire Jones, Matthew and Timothy Keefe-Jones, Michelle Jones, John (Erin) Monnett, Kevin (Krystine) Monnett, Erin Monnett; great-grandchildren, Jaylen and Elijah Monnett, Amira Gulledge, Tiana (Isaac Marlowe) Walder; great-great-grandchildren, Atlas and Khaleesi Marlowe; devoted nieces Terry Lintner and Amy Edison; and special nephew Barry (Tracey) Edison, who brought much light and joy to her life.
Pat grew up in Clifton, attended St. George School and St. Ursula High School. She also spent much happy time in Ripley, Ohio with her Dad’s family after his death when she was 4 years old. She met Dick when he delivered groceries to her house when he was 10 and she was 7. They married on April 14, 1956, and made their home and life in Colerain Township, raising their 4 children in a small house with big, loud love. Their home was a haven for all kids in the neighborhood, and Pat taught many to swim in the backyard pool. All were welcome, and their Memorial Day picnic was a famous “do drop in”! Pat worked after the kids were grown and retired from Sharonville Pediatrics. She enjoyed walking, music, dancing, travel, trips to the Casino, hamburgers, bourbon, spoiling the grandkids, talking on the phone, and telling everyone what they should say in any given situation! When they moved to Centerville, Pat was blessed with her friend and neighbor Tina, and was active at the Washington Township Senior Center, where she loved exercising, activities, and most of all coffee with the “Gabby Geezers”. This last year, she made her home at Kauhale Centerville, where she enjoyed the people and activities, and the kind and loving staff. Everyone there - Dietary, Housekeeping, Laundry, Nurses, Caregivers and Administration made her last year a good one. Special thanks to Nurse Val, Activities Director Rae and Concierges Niki and Allie. Kudos as well to Ohio’s Hospice Nurse Kim, who was a compassionate advocate. Pat loved fiercely and we will all have her in our hearts and hear her in our heads forever.
Family will greet friends Tuesday, April 21 from 12:00pm-1:00pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45459. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm at the church. A luncheon will be held directly following Mass in the Friendship Hall at St. Francis. Burial will take place at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
