FENSEL, Phillip A. (Phil), age 77 of Washington Twp, passed away on September 22, 2022. He was born May 11, 1945 in Dayton, OH to Fred Fensel and Jinx (Walther) Fensel. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and his daughter Alexandra. He is survived by his wife Linda, his sons Josh and Phil and their spouses Beth and Caryn, and his grandsons Isaac and Derek.
He co-founded and co-chaired Walther Engineering and Manufacturing Company in Miamisburg, OH in 1992 with his cousin Chris Walther. The company moved operations to Franklin, OH where it continues to thrive.
Phil was an avid cyclist, runner, swimmer, weight lifter, and general fitness enthusiast. He completed a triathlon at the top of his division, at age 57.
The world is not quite as bright without him in it. He lived his life with unprecedented enthusiasm, dignity, and a trailer load of joy. He brought kindness to everyone around him, and he will be missed dearly.
Please join us to celebrate the amazing life of Phil Fensel (Flip). We will gather to share some of our favorite memories and stories and remember the wonderful, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, mentor, coworker, and friend who will be greatly missed. The celebration of life in honor of Phil will be held on November 19, 2022 at Yankee Trace from 4pm-7pm.
