Raymond E. York

age 85, of Kettering, passed away, Wednesday, December 11, 2002. Ray attended Duke University and graduated from the University of Dayton in 1954. He was a retired major in the USAF and worked at DESC until his retirement in 1974. Ray was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church, VFW Post 9927, American Legion Post 598 and TROA - Reserves Officers Assoc. Survived by his wife, Eileen of 58 years; daughter, Terry and children, Zachary, Alex and Katelyn York of Bellbrook; son, Raymond (Joan) Jr. and their children, Julie and Lisa York of Granville, OH; close friend, Johnette Silvey of Bellbrook. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Carol Hull officiating. Burial in Woodland cemetery. Family will greet friends from 10-11:00 AM, Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, your charity of choice.
