Richard L. Blessing, Dayton, Ohio (born Warren, Ohio) passed away on July 6, 2026. Born in Warren, Ohio on July 16, 1934, he was the first in his family to attend college. He graduated from Kent State University. While working to pay for his studies, he met the love of his life, Rosemary (Gasper). They were married 64 wonderful years.
Dick, as he was known by friends and family, truly loved life. He valued family, friends and his faith. He was generous with his time and shared his business acumen with local non-profit organizations to provide for the less fortunate.
Nothing made him happier than a good round of golf and spending Fridays with Nana and the Grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anna (Hurley) and David Blessing, siblings, Mary Joan Blessing and David Blessing, In-laws, Margaret, Steve and Paul Gasper and son Richard Blessing Jr.
He leaves his wife Rosemary, and family Patricia Blessing and Thomas Roesch, Eveleen (Hughes) Blessing, and grandchildren, Alexander, Abigail and Gina Roesch, Lena and Erin Blessing, and Sister-in-law Mary Ann Gasper.
Funeral Services to be held at Church of the Incarnation, Centerville, Ohio on Friday, July 17 at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be offered to the Centerville-Washington Fund at the Dayton Foundation.
