Richard Vail Burnett

BURNETT, Richard Vail, age 68, of Oakwood passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Richard was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 8, 1953 to Robert V. Burnett Sr. and Winifred Weaver. He was a graduate of Oakwood High School class of 1971. Richard went on to get his Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wright State University. He made his career in retail business for many years.

Richard was a devoted member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church and also volunteered his time to Carillon Park. In his free time, Richard would enjoy various arts and loved watching sports, especially if the Reds, Bengals, or UD Flyers were playing.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Richard is survived by his brothers, Robert Burnett Jr. and William W. Burnett. Graveside services will be held at Woodland Cemetery on September 17 at 2:30 PM.
