Richard E. Walthall

WALTHALL, Richard E., age 88, of Centerville, OH, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2026.

Richard was born September 21, 1938, in Farmersville, OH, to the late George W. and D. Mildred (Brewer) Walthall. He was a 1956 graduate of Stivers High School in Dayton. Richard retired as a United Parcel Services manager after more than 20 years of service. He previously worked as a supervisor at Top Value Enterprises. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by Beverly A. (Glass) Walthall, his wife of 64 years, and Kimra (Walthall) Solomon, his daughter. Richard was also preceded in death by siblings Ruth (Walthall) Pratt, Millard Walthall, and Pauline (Walthall) Brewer. Richard is survived by his brother Gary (Sharon) Walthall, his daughter Kathy (Andrew) Hawk; grandchildren Matthew Gramann, Samantha (Brian) Solomon Norwood, Margaret (Austin) Hawk Kaiser, David Hawk, Alexander (Molly) Solomon, and Sarah Hawk; great-grandchildren, Cole Norwood, Calvin Kaiser, Lorelei Norwood and Eleanor Kaiser; son-in-law, Michael Solomon.

Graveside Services will be held for family only at Grape Grove Cemetery, Jamestown, OH.
