Rickie Lee "Rick" Mitchell

MITCHELL, Rickie Lee Rick, age 55, of Dayton, formerly of Trotwood, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017. Rick was born on January 9, 1962 in Dayton to George and Betty Mitchell. He attended Trotwood-Madison High School and worked as the Facilities Manager for First Lutheran Church in Dayton for many years. Rick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Jessica of TN and Lacie of KY; granddaughter, Gwendolyn Courtney; brothers, Jack (Joann) Davis, Bob Davis, and Mark Mitchell; sisters, Arlene (Ed) Piersall, Paula (Ronnie) Robinson, and Peggy Stamper; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation will be held from 10:00am-12:00noon on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at First Lutheran Church, 138 W. 1st Street, Dayton. A funeral service will follow 12:00noon also at the church. Burial in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank Pastor Bob, as well as Ricks close friends Bo, Calvin, and Wendell for their support and guidance. Also, their sincere gratitude goes toward Hospice of Dayton for all their care and compassion they showed to Rick.
