Obituary

Robert Attwood Ward, Jr., fondly known as Bobby, age 29 of Kettering, went to be with the Lord on June 6th, 2026. He was born on February 24, 1997 to parents Judith and Robert Sr.

Bobby graduated from Fairmont High School in 2015 and was self educated in general contracting. He built his life to be able to own and operate his own business, Skyward Renovations, LLC., with his business partner Kenny Combs.

Bobby was deeply committed to serving his community and the Lord. He was especially passionate about his involvement at Belmont Church. Growing up, Bobby was a Boy Scout and was employed by Grieve Hardware by the age of 14. Later, he became a longtime employee of Wenzler Enterprises.

Bobby enjoyed fabricating and building his Jeep. His talents were used to craft many special items from scratch. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and living life to the fullest. Most importantly, Bobby loved his family, friends, and animals. He gave his heart to anyone he came across and left a lasting impact, even if you only met him for a few seconds.

Bobby is preceded in death by his grandparents John and Yvonne Ward of Centerville, and Geraldine and Raymond Roscoe Railroad Ritchie of Dayton; his beloved first pet, Cherokee, as well as many close friends who have passed over the years, including his best friend, Philip Hummerick.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Rebecca Nicole Ward; children, Bellamy GerriLynn, and a little bean on the way; siblings, Ashley Lynn Marie Ward and John Raymond Ward; his parents, Robert Attwood Ward, Sr. and Judith Ann Ward; in-laws, Jennifer Lynn Friedmann, Timothy Jon Friedmann, Samantha Carpenter, and Olivia Friedmann; numerous friends he considered family, and many cherished pets.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Belmont Church (2701 S. Smithville Rd, Dayton, OH 45420) on Saturday, June 27th from 1-6pm. A memorial service will be held starting at 1pm, with a reception to follow.

Bobby's family would like to thank everyone that knew Bobby and loved him for who he was through every stage of his life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) or Loaves of Light at Belmont Church.
