Robert Gilliland

age 80, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001. Robert was a 1941 graduate of Carnegie Melon in Pittsburgh, receiving his degree in Professional Electrical Engineering. He served in the U.S.Army Air Corp during WWII and was stationed at WPAFB. Robert retired as a consulting engineer, was a member of I.E.E.E. and the Cowan Lake Sailing Club. Preceded in death by brother, Howard. Survived by wife of 58 years, Ruth; sons, Robert W. and wife Ruth Gilliland, Jr. of San Diego, CA., Mark Frederick Gilliland of Paia, Maui, Rex Stewart and wife Pamm Gilliland of Rocky River, Cleveland, Tim Andrew Gilliland of Oakwood, Tom Edward Gilliland of Westland, MI, and 13 granchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Jan 6 in the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave., Dayton, Oh. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Miami Valley chapter, 3797 Summit Glen Dr., Suite 100, Dayton,Oh. 45449.
