WURTZBACHER, Roger O. age 90, of Centerville, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025. A lifelong Daytonian, Roger graduated from Stivers High School (1952) and University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy (1956). Roger served proudly in the US Army, stationed at the Pentagon and Walter Reed Hospital. He returned to Dayton where he spent over 53 years as a pharmacist at Fidelity Prescriptions which later became Medicine Shoppe.
Outside of his many patients and friends from the pharmacy, Roger enjoyed spending time with family. He also particularly enjoyed sports cars, photography, and woodworking to create something practical or beautiful. He never backed down from a project to fix things around the house, and constructed projects for family like handmade desks, a wooden clock, some fun wooden toys, or a soap box derby car. His fun loving and outgoing character will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Roger is preceded in death by his first wife of 58 years and mother of his children Ann and second wife Jacqueline, parents Howard and Lucille Wurtzbacher. He is survived by children, Kim (Greg) Ramey, Nancy (Nico) Beltran, Lisa (Victor) Elliott and Doug Wurtzbacher; Brian and Matthew Ramey, Alex, Samantha, Zach Beltran, Sarah, Abby, Nick, and Megan Elliott, 9 great-grandchildren, sister Lynn, niece Sue Reindl and nephews Mike and Jerry Weghorst.
