Ron Soehner

SOEHNER, Ron, age 80, of Centerville, OH, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. Ron was born on April 9, 1943 to the late Paul and Geneva (Schroll) Soehner, in Dayton, OH.  He graduated from Colonel White High School before embarking on a professional career in sales.  Ron worked at Henkel Corporation for over 20 years before retiring in 2000. Ron was a lifelong golfer and could be often found at either his favorite local course or visiting a local car dealership in search of his next car. Ron and Nancy frequently enjoyed their visits to Florida. Ron later purchased a home in The Villages where he enjoyed spending time with his family and good friends over the years. He was in several local bowling leagues all over Dayton as well as Florida. Ron’s generous and funny nature will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Soehner;  his parents Paul and Geneva (Schroll) Soehner; parents-in-law, George and Kathryn Lewis; brother Paul Soehner; brothers-in-law, Jim Krapf, David Hughes, and George Lewis.

He is survived by his children, Todd (Julia) Soehner, Scott Soehner, and Chad (Joanna) Soehner; grandchildren, Madison, Nick, Jack, and Adam Soehner; sisters, Margaret Krapf, Barbara  Hughes,  and Geneva (Tim) Rank; sister-in-law Joanne Soehner; brother-in-law, Chris (Theresa) Lewis; special friend, Carol Hammond and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aids at Kettering Cancer Center as well as Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for their care and compassion. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Thursday June 29, 2023, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429. A funeral service will be held the following day at 11am also at Routsong Kettering. Burial at David’s Cemetery.
