Sarah Elizabeth Berenson

BERENSON, Sarah Elizabeth, age 37, formerly of Oakwood passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was a graduate of Lake Braddock Secondary School (Burke, VA) in 2005 and attended some graduate classes at Radford University as well as some additional training at Sinclair Community College here in Dayton. She was an office manager for Dr. Hall’s private psychiatry practice in Oakwood, and both patients and staff enjoyed her humor and her uplifting manner. She was also involved with the Dayton International Peace Museum for much of the last decade, volunteering her time to exhibits and programs. Sarah’s talents were many: she was a lifelong student in health care, enjoyed naturopathy, health and wellness, and was an avid and skilled tennis player. She never went anywhere without “Lucky,” a black Labrador who unfortunately left us two years ago, and her latest devoted Chesepeake Bay Retriever, “Sir Lucky.” She was passionate about family, animals, travel, photography, fashion, and enjoyed playing video games. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Berenson. She is survived by her mother, Molly Hall, as well as her siblings Hannah, Aaron, and Kate Berenson; and her nephews Caleb Stafford, Elliott Berenson and niece, Eren Stafford. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 11 at 12:00pm at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. She will be buried, in accordance with her wishes, using natural methods and be laid to rest at St. Kateri’s in Calvary Cemetery of Dayton.
