Scooter Routsong

Scooter Routsong, our cherished companion at Routsong Funeral Home, has passed on after years of devoted service. With his boundless energy and ever-wagging tail, Scooter warmly welcomed every visitor, from grieving families to employees, bringing comfort and light with his joyful presence. Scooter's natural gift for companionship was felt by all, his playful spirit and diligent nature were also evident in his impeccable tidiness after reception services.

Scooter was an Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as his personality. Whether he was racing after a tennis ball with unmatched enthusiasm or quietly resting beside the people he loved most, or comforting families in times of grief. His favorite place was wherever his family was, and his greatest happiness came from spending time with those he loved.

Scooter had a sweet and gentle nature. While he could be a little shy when meeting someone new, it didn't take long for his kind heart to shine through. Those fortunate enough to earn his trust were rewarded with a loyal companion whose love was unconditional.

Over the past several months, Scooter faced illness with incredible strength and resilience. Through every challenge, he continued to greet each day with quiet courage, reminding us all to cherish every moment and never take a single day for granted.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Scooter's legacy lives on in the countless memories he gave us, the support with grieving families, the happy tail wags, the comforting presence at the end of a long day, and the unconditional love that only a dog can give.

He was lovingly looked after by Max and Jill Routsong and will be deeply missed by our entire Routsong family and all the hearts he touched. Scooter was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, but he will never be forgotten. His paw prints will remain on our hearts forever.
