Scott A. Walker

July 29, 1956 — December 19, 2025

Centerville

WALKER, Scott A. age 69, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 19, 2025, surrounded by his wife and daughters.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, on July 29, 1956, Scott graduated from Fairmont East High School and went on to attend postsecondary automotive school before spending 25 years helping to run the family business, Pella Sales, Inc. While his career was an important part of his life, it is not what he will be most remembered for— though the annual tradition of gifting Esther Price candy to his employees, and just about everyone else he knew, achieved near-legendary status. Those who knew Scott best understood one simple truth: he worked hard and he played harder.

Scott had a lifelong appreciation for the culture of the open road and the machines that made it unforgettable. Harley-Davidson was more than a motorcycle to him; it was a symbol of freedom, craftsmanship, and community. He held the same respect for classic car culture, admiring the stories told through chrome, steel, and engines rebuilt with care and pride. Drag racing, with its roar, precision, and raw energy, fueled his love of speed and skill, and he never missed a chance to admire a well-tuned machine. These passions reflected who he was—someone who valued authenticity, tradition, and the joy of living life full throttle.

Scott was preceded in death by his former wife, Tammi E. Walker-Shroeder; his son, Rodney Walker; his sister, Diane Ludwig; and his parents, Carroll and Ruth Walker.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his daughters, Georgia, Amy (Jordan), Alicia, and Shannon (Misho); his stepson, Mason; and his five grandchildren, Andre, Luka, Ivie, Katija, and Reece; and other extended family and friends.

A visitation, featuring classic rock, shared memories and a touch of dark humor, will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m, at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, OH 45459, on December 30, 2025, with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Ohio Hospice for the exceptional compassion, dignity, and care they provided for both Scott and his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. You might also consider taking a drive (with 2-60 air) just a little too fast, with some classic rock playing just a little too loud, or enjoying your favorite Starbucks drink, in celebration of Scott’s full throttle life.
