Stuart Metcalf Addison

June 29, 1966 — July 5, 2025

West Chester

Stuart Metcalf Addison, 59, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 5th. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Stuart graduated from Anderson High School in 1985 and went on to earn his degree in Orlando, Florida, in the 1990s. After college, he spent many happy years in Sarasota, Florida, where he loved the sunshine, the Siesta Key drum circle, the beach, and cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning. But what really made Stuart stand out was his infectious sense of humor and his big heart. He could make anyone laugh, always ready with a witty comment or a hilarious story that would light up the room.

Stuart eventually returned to Cincinnati to be closer to his family, and his pride in them was unwavering. He was incredibly proud of his parents, Sharry and Harry Addison, for their deep commitment to the community, and equally proud of his sister and her husband for the kind, loving family they had built. Watching his teenage nieces, Caroline and Camryn Camacho, grow up brought him immense joy. Their shared passion for soccer and seeing them thrive both on and off the field was a constant source of pride for him.

Stuart had a lifelong love for music—whether managing a band, producing shows, serving as a tour manager, or just listening across a very broad range of genres. It was a constant source of entertainment and enjoyment in his life.

As much as Stuart loved life and laughter, he also faced some tough health challenges in recent years. Throughout his battle, he felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the many nurses, doctors, and caretakers who supported him along the way. He was also deeply thankful for his family, especially those who went above and beyond to lighten his load during some of his hardest times.

Stuart was preceded in death by Mary Stuart and George Patterson, maternal grandparents, Della Mae and Dustin Addison, paternal grandparents, his uncle Larry Patterson and his aunt Maribeth Patterson.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Sharry and Harry Addison; his sister, Traci Camacho (Ty); nieces Caroline and Camryn Camacho; and many other extended family members and friends. His energy, humor, and spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
