Susan Pleiman Davis

December 16, 1949 — October 4, 2025

Kettering

Susan “Sue” Pleiman Davis, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025. Sue was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Vernon and Rita Pleiman (Welther) on December 16, 1949. She was a longtime member of Holy Angels Catholic Church as well as Saint Anne Catholic Church of Naples, Florida.

Sue met Richard “Dick” Davis in the fifth grade when they both attended Our Lady of the Rosary School. Sue was a graduate of Stebbins High School and Wright State University. Sue and Dick married on May 20th 1972 and they formed a marriage that flourished in life and love for over five decades. Sue and Dick were blessed with a son whom Sue referred to as her "miracle baby”, Richard “Rick” Davis. Their partnership extended into their professional lives as well, as they founded a successful business, Flagship Financial.

Sue was a strong, caring woman who was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She built meaningful and lasting friendships at every stage of her life—starting with childhood friends from grade school and continuing through the years she spent in Vandalia, Tipp City, Oakwood, and Naples, Florida. Sue had a special gift for forming genuine connections, and she shared her life, love, and adventures with countless dear friends.

Two of Sue’s greatest joys were her grandchildren and travel. Together with her wonderful family and friends, she explored not only the United States but also many parts of the world. She loved capturing these journeys in photographs, which she meticulously organized and cherished. Her travel albums told stories of exploration, laughter, and the people she loved.

Sue’s kindness, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Davis; devoted son and daughter-in-law, Richard “Rick” and Katherine “Katie”; three grandchildren, Ryan, Mia, and Logan; siblings, Barbara (Bill) Issenmann, Vernon (Judy) Pleiman, and Michael (Reg) Pleiman; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends whom she loved very much.

A visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH 45429.
