In Loving Memory of Taleigha Danielle Laneice Dickerson
September 25, 2011 – June 9, 2026
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Taleigha Danielle Laneice Dickerson, who departed this life on June 9, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 14.
Taleigha was born on September 25, 2011, in Kettering, Ohio, to her loving parents, Tessa Skeens and Sidney Dickerson.
A student preparing to enter the 9th grade, Taleigha was a bright, beautiful, and spirited young lady whose smile could light up any room. She had a passion for doing nails, styling hair, makeup, traveling, music, and spending time with the people she loved most. She enjoyed school, treasured her friendships, and brought laughter, kindness, and joy wherever she went. Taleigha was known for her sweet heart, caring nature, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends.
One of Taleigha’s greatest joys was her family. She was especially excited to become an aunt to a baby boy, a role she looked forward to with love and anticipation.
Taleigha leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving parents, Tessa Skeens and Sidney Dickerson; her grandparents, Tonya Dickerson-Davis (“Nana”), John Davis (“Pawpaw”), Ronald Skeens (“Papa”), Patricia Skeens (“Mamaw”), and (“Grandfather”)Marcus Edwards.
She is survived by her four brothers: Talin, Michael Jr., Cash, and Quincy; and her eight sisters: Sidney, Tiana, Delaney, Kaylynn, Makayla, Kristen, Stoni, and Stella.
She also leaves behind her cherished cousins: Phillip, Brently, Raelynn, Ava, Solomon, Mylah, Leanna, Tay, Penny, and Carson, along with countless other cousins, relatives, and friends.
Taleigha will be forever remembered by her best friends, Bonnie, Aaliyah, Brayden, and Kayleigha, whose lives were forever touched by her friendship and love.
She is also survived by her loving aunts: Teaa Smith (Lewis), Tera Skeens, Candase Carnes, Charday Davis, and Tiffany Cressel; and her uncles: Ramsey Skeens, Ronell Dickerson (Amber), and Antowan Davis.
Taleigha was preceded in death by her beloved Nana, Kimberly Cressel; Papaw, Jim; Uncle, Ronnie Skeens; grandmother, Michelle Sizemore; and grandparents, Mary Jordan, Ernest Williams, and Carol Edwards.
Though her time on earth was far too short, the impact Taleigha made on those who knew and loved her will remain forever. Her laughter, kindness, strength, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
