Ted Livingston, age 58, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1966, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Edward and Janet Livingston, and grew up alongside his two brothers, Gary and Greg.
Ted was preceded in death by his beloved wife and grade-school sweetheart of 38 years, Anita Livingston; his mother, Janet; and his father, Edward.
He is survived by his devoted sons, Nathan (Natalie) Livingston and Nicholas (Erin) Livingston; five cherished grandchildren—Grant, Hudson, Rowan, Troy Livingston, and Charlotte Rice; and his brothers, Greg (Lucy) and Gary (Brooke) Livingston.
A proud 1984 graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School, Ted went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps—a service he held with deep pride throughout his life. Following his military service, Ted pursued a career in the electrical trade, becoming a highly respected Master Electrician.
Ted had a natural gift for fixing things and a passion for working with his hands. Whether crafting, tinkering, or tackling a complex repair, he was always ready to help family and friends with kindness and skill. He was a devoted family man who found joy in coaching his sons in baseball and later took great pride in being the #1 fan of his grandchildren.
To honor Ted’s life, visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Routsong Funeral Home – 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will take place at Dayton National Veterans Cemetery.
Ted will be remembered for his unwavering love, his steady hands, and the light he brought into every life he touched.
