Teresa J. James

JAMES, Teresa J., age 72, of Riverside, OH passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Teresa was born on October 13, 1949 to the late Lance and Edna (Flynn) Clem, in Hamilton, OH. She attended Fairfield High School before moving to Monroe, MI with her family and finishing school. She was a loving and devoted mother who always went above and beyond when it came to her children and grandchildren. After several years in Michigan, Teresa returned to the Dayton area to raise her children near family. In Dayton, she worked as a dental technician for Dolling & Associates before her retirement in 2005.

Teresa always kept busy with her home renovations. She had quite a green thumb and took pride in her landscaping, flower beds and caring for her indoor plants. She would often be found outside enjoying nature and the beauty of her hard work. Outside of her love for family and home, she enjoyed playing Bingo. Many were intimidated by her bingo skill.

Throughout her life Teresa’s top priority was taking care of her family. Her kindness was contagious, and she was beautiful inside and out. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gary Clem and Steven Clem; and sister, Brenda Brandt. She is survived by her children: Rhonda (Brian) Brandenburg, and James (Jennifer) Jones; grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Ethan, Benton, and Daxton; great-grandchildren: Camden and Avery.

A visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Friday, January 28, at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main Street, Centerville, OH 45459. A memorial service will be held at 5pm at the funeral home. A livestream of the service will be available via Routsong’s YouTube channel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews or the Wounded Warrior Project.
