Thomas Ward Kemp, 90, of Kettering, Ohio & Key Largo, Florida died September 28, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 5, 1936 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Tom graduated from Fairmont High School, attending Cornell University earning a BS in Engineering, MSSE in Electrical Engineer & MBA from Cornell’s Johson School of Management. Also, He was a Certified Public Accountant. His business career in the Dayton area included Mead Data Central (Lexus Nexis), Airco Coals, & served as CFO of Krug International. His greatest professional love was Winsupply, where he served on the board for 45 years.
Tom gave generously of his time & talents to his community. As a board member of the Salvation army, he helped establish the Salvation Army Dayton Kroc Center. He was a member of Moraine Country Club, Ocean Reef Club, Card Sound Golf Club, the 49ers Club, and the Moraine Society.
Tom was proceeded in death by his first wife, Robyn Bowman Kemp, & his grandson, Marcus Savage. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kemp: children Rebecca Tsaloff (Aaron Blank), Tracy Denning, & Stephen Savage: granddaughters Chloe Jerome, Skyler Jackson (Bryson), Sara Denning & Arianna Savage: great- grandson Shepherd Jackson: sister Penelope Johnson: & Gavin Johnson (Kim).
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Hospice of Dayton and Kimberly Care. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 6 at Woodland Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, with services following at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Dayton Kroc Center, 1600 N Keowee St, Dayton, Ohio 45404.
