Thomas O. Mills

MILLS, Thomas O., age 80, of Kettering, went to be with the Lord May 22, 2023. He was born October 5, 1942 in Piqua, Ohio. Thomas is preceded in death by his mom, Lola. He is survived by children, Timothy Scott (Peggy) Mills, Ronda Jean (Larry) Potter, and Christopher John (Jennifer Dawn) Mills; significant other, Darleen Mills; grandchildren, Jamie (Chad) Storts, Drew (Grace) Mills, Jacob (Zoe) Potter, Corey Mills, Brantley (Taylor) Mills, Camryn Potter, Analiese Mills, and Patricia “Tish” Mills; great-grandchildren, Trent, Addison, Beckett, Elowin, Brooks, and Hadley; and numerous extended family members and friends along with his dog and little buddy, Mason.  

Thomas proudly served in the United States Navy where he served on the USS Constitution (Old Iron Sides). He was a member of the NHRA and other local car clubs throughout the years and was well-known in the street rod community. He was also a current member of the Road Knights Car Club. Thomas was a car enthusiast and collected a wide range of vehicles from the 1930’s to the early 1970’s. In his vast collection, his most symbolic car is a rare 1934 Ford Victoria which he referred to as Vicky. In his free time, Thomas loved to work on model cars and trucks. He was a proud collector of motorcycles, bicycles, and models of all vehicles. What he loved most of all was his loving family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thomas will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
