Ward, Victoria Lynn, age 76, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Victoria was born on October 2, 1949, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio to Richard and Mary Joan (Roddy) Walz.
A graduate of Miamisburg High School (class of 1967) and Capital University, Victoria built successful careers at both Dayton Power & Light and LexisNexis. While she enjoyed her many professional accomplishments, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and her grandchildren in particular. She was an avid quilter, enjoyed gardening and had a knack for making her home welcoming to all. The absolute best gift-giver, she always found unique items for gifting occasions that she knew others would love. Most recently, she looked forward to expanding her cooking skills. She was kind, smart, supportive and loving to all and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary Joan Walz and sister Katherine Ann Rankey. She is survived by her husband, Garry Ward, children and their spouses, Brian (Cathie) Ward and Sarah (Rick) Anderson, siblings Deborah McDaniel, Thomas (Anna) Walz, and Timothy (Paula) Walz, two grandchildren, Scott Ward and Royce Ward and numerous loved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for their kindness and assistance with Victoria’s peaceful transition.
A celebration of life will be held this summer in the garden that Victoria enjoyed so much.
