Virginia M. Koogler

KOOGLER, Virginia M., age 104, of Centerville, passed away at St. Leonard Retirement Center on Monday, January 10, 2022. Virginia was born in Dayton, OH on March 13, 1917 to the late Arthur and Ida Bittner. She was a member of Normandy Church. Virginia enjoyed gardening, reading, playing BINGO at St. Leonard’s and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Koogler; sisters, Lois McCoy, Evelyn Stevens, and Miriam Dalton. Virginia is survived by her sons, Steve (Christina) and Greg (Kathy); granddaughter, Jen (Bryan) Koogler. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with a reception to follow at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 26 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 81 N MAIN ST, CENTERVILLE with Harvey Smith officiating. Virginia will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Riverside Cemetery in West Milton, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
