Virginia Lee Setzekorn

Virginia Lee Setzekorn, aged 76, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 15, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Dorse and Gwen Lee Boyd. Ginny or GG, as she was affectionately known, was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of many. Family was at the core of Ginny’s life, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to nurturing and supporting her loved ones. She found immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and extended family members, creating lasting memories filled with love, laughter, and stories. Ginny’s quick wit and sense of humor brought joy to those around her, and she loved nothing more than joking around and sharing funny anecdotes with her loved ones. In addition to her dedication to family, Ginny had a passion for visiting national parks out west, finding solace and wonder in the beauty of nature. She also cherished taking trips with her sisters Barbara (Boyd) and Radine (Watts), creating lifelong memories filled with laughter and sisterly love. Ginny had an additional passion for maps, finding joy in exploring and studying them, which fueled her love for travel and adventure.

Ginny is survived by her three children, Matthew (Pam), Justin (Melissa), and Laura; her sister Radine Watts, her six grandchildren AJ, Phoebe, Kathryn, Sydney, Jack, and Cayden. GG will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and her memory will forever be cherished. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A memorial service to celebrate Ginny’s life will be held on February 16, 2024 at noon, with visitation from 10:00 to 12:00 at Routsong Funeral Home in Centerville, OH.
