HOLMES, Wallace Everett, age 79, of Centerville, passed away on July 27, 2017. Wallace was born on June 6, 1938 in Creswell, NC to Wallace Trimigan and Adelia Mae Holmes.
He graduated from Creswell High School and proudly served in the United States Army. Wallace worked as a Quality Control Specialist for Chrysler for 30 years and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Sarah Ellen; and brother, Charlie Holmes. Wallace is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Patty Hazelwood Holmes; children, Nathan (Lisa Disque) Holmes of Kettering and Christa (Will Sandalls) Holmes of California; grandchildren, Stella and Vivien Holmes; brothers, George, Thomas, and Greg Holmes; and sister, Hepsie Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd., Kettering. The family will greet friends (time) at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton, 115 West Riverview Avenue, Dayton, OH 45405 or Dayton Childrens Hospital.
