William spent his early years in Springboro, attending the Miami Valley School through seventh grade. His family then relocated to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he graduated from Hilton Head Preparatory School. He went on to earn a B.A. in Film from the University of Tampa—a reflection of his deep love for storytelling, cinema, and the art of capturing life’s most meaningful moments.
After college, William returned to the Dayton area, where he continued to build connections, pursue his passions, and give back to the community he loved. A lifelong sports enthusiast, William was rarely happier than when cheering on his beloved Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ballpark or rallying behind the Bengals each football season. But it was his work with the Miracle League Field in Springboro that most clearly reflected his heart—a place where his love for baseball met his devotion to inclusion, joy, and possibility for all.
William had a boundless appreciation for film, reflected not just in his academic studies but in the sharp wit and insight he brought to his movie reviews, which delighted all who read them. His adventurous spirit took him across the world—from Europe to Alaska, from the beaches of Hawaii to the magic of his favorite place, Walt Disney World.
But it was not just what William did that defined him—it was how he lived. His infectious smile, undeniable charisma, and uncanny ability to make people feel truly seen left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. Despite facing his own set of challenges, William met life with grit, humor, and an unshakable optimism, inspiring those around him with his strength and resilience.
His legacy is one of courage, compassion, and unwavering light.
