Bill Honingford

William A. Honingford, “Bill”, age 89 of Centerville passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Bill served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree in business and worked for the university for 40 years, finishing his career as Assistant Director of Telecommunications. Bill was also a member of Incarnation Catholic Church for 57 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leander & Helen Honingford; sister Lois, and brothers Tom and Richard. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Linda Honingford (née Sims); daughters, Kathy (Dave) Bean and Patty (Bob) Leffler; grandchildren, Julia, Jack, Charlie, Maddie, Joey, Alyssa, Kiera; and many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Visitation will be from 10-11am on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi (6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville), followed by a funeral Mass at 11am. A private family burial will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bill to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
