LATHAM, Gail S., age 62, of Kettering, passed away on November 15, 2017.

She was born on March 30, 1955 in Dayton, to Thomas and Vivian Snyder. Gail attended Wright State University where she met her husband, Samuel. She graduated from the University of Dayton. Gail was Editor of the Englewood Independent, President of the Dayton Newspaper Guild, Editor and Manager for Dayton Daily News, and Senior Copy Editor for Dayton Daily News.

On what free time she had, she enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening. Gail enjoyed vacationing and camping at Port Clinton, Ohio, and Disney World, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Gail is survived by her husband of 39 years, Samuel; children, Nick Latham and Emily Latham; brothers, Thomas (Jan) Snyder, Phil (Gina) Snyder, and Matt Snyder; sister, Karen (Roy) Combs; sisters-in-law, Rhonda (Mark) Klug, MD, Regina Jones-Deaton, Ricki (Jeremy) Youngkin, and Roseanne (Tommy) Flanders; brother-in-law, James (Patricia) Latham; plus her many nieces and nephews; all her friends from the Dayton Daily News and the Kontiki; and dogs, Pepe and Zeke.

The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd., Kettering. A funeral service will be held the following morning at 11:00am also at the funeral home. Burial in Woodland Cemetery to follow.
