The day before and on the day of my fur baby’s death Routsong was compassionate, caring and respectful. Kylie B. and other staff were very understanding to my loss, grief and emotions. I would recommend Routsong Pet Loss Services located at 2100 East Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH 45429. The service they provided me included a room for my last goodbye, memory cards that included a paw print and fur clipping, the cremation and wooden box urn with engraved plaque. Routsong were and are much more affordable than if I used the veterinary’s cremation services. I’m glad they provide this service for pets and that their affordable and local. I want to express my sincere thank you and appreciation to Sam Routsong for his compassion, caring and kindness guiding me through arrangements for my brother's burial. The loss of a loved one is devastating and the staff at Routsong understand how emotionally difficult it is for the family. Thank you for all you do to comfort those during this difficult time.

There are not enough accolades for Dave at Routsong. My brother, 4 hours away, did research on a local funeral home that could help us make arrangements for our mother which would be in her home state. My brother was so impressed with Dave that he told me to look no further. Dave took care of everything in a very short space of time. He is warm, friendly and extremely compassionate. We could not have been better served. There were so many deadlines and paperwork which he navigated for us. My husband and I felt as though he was family from our first meeting. He asked if he could bring his significant other with him which was fine with us. Joanne turned out to have the same wonderful qualities as Dave. We enjoyed both of them and felt well cared for and secure in their handling of everything. Our service was casual and a bit unorthodox, but Dave flowed right along with our need to say our goodbyes our own special way. I even spoke of his expertise and kindness to the attendees. The family assumed he was an old friend of ours because we introduced him to them as they arrived. By then, he did feel like an old, dear friend. Because of other family issues, we did all this out of state in 2 days. We really needed help and guidance from an expert which is exactly what we received. You may have heard that in our greatest need, angels appear. Dave and Joanne were our angels. We are so grateful to them for providing a service that our mother would have been proud of.

After the sudden death of our son, we were totally unprepared to make any type of arrangements or any of the hundreds of things that need to be done. A friend of the family recommended Max at Routsong to us. The service, caring, and overall emotional support that he and the staff at Routsong was a blessing. No one is prepared for the death of a teenager, but Routsong made what has been a terrible experience just a little more bearable. Max took the time to show us exactly what we needed to have done for our son’s cremation. He answered all our questions honestly and did not try to push the most expensive items available on us. Once that was all done, Max and the staff took care of all the behind-the-scenes details, so we did not have to go through the anguish of seeing our son at the morgue. The visitation was done at the Centerville location and was incredible. Again, Max and the Centerville staff went out of their way to make sure everything was set up and flowed smoothly. Friends, coworkers, and family all comments afterwards how beautiful the service and surroundings were. The video that was produced was very well done. There were times when everyone in the viewing area was quiet, just listening to the music and watching the all-to-short story of our son. Thank you again, Max and the staff at the Kettering and Centerville locations. Words alone can not convey the gratitude that our family feels during this trying time. The Francis family.

My brother passed away unexpectedly in November. It's hard to know what to do when you are in shock and feel overwhelmed with sadness, but I called Routsong to help with his funeral and I'm so glad I did. Sam and the Routsong staff calmly and carefully handled all the arrangements for my brother's visitation, memorial service, and military burial at the Dayton National Cemetery. Also, Brian Bennett did an excellent job speaking at the service and capturing the essence of my brother's spirit. It brought us all a sense of peace and was a wonderful tribute to my brother, who was a great man and Vietnam veteran. The videos on the Routsong YouTube channel helped out-of-town friends and family be part of the service, which is so important during this time of COVID. Your services are greatly appreciated!

I want to take this time to express my family's gratitude for the tremendous relief that Sam Routsong provided me during my mother's passing. I was lost and Sam guided me through all the ins and outs, never rushing me nor making me feel stupid, giving options to choose from and waiting for me to comfortably choose. He gave me great comfort and freed my anxieties while we said good bye to Mom. He called almost daily to check on me, to keep me informed and to answer my midnight texting to him. The service was wonderfully arranged at the cemetery chapel & provided via internet broadcast on YouTube, those who couldn't come because of COVID19, the ability to be part of the proceedings. The Routsong YouTube stays on their website for viewing even afterward. Thank you for having a wonderful endearing man such as Sam as a part of Routsong.

I have read the testimonials on your website and can truthfully say to you that none approaches the commendations you and your staff deserve for the way you and they treat visitors. My husband and I were in Kettering for the service of my sister-in-law in early October. I was so impressed, particularly with the video of the still photos showing her from her graduation until just a short time before her death. It was so comforting for us to see her pictured at various times throughout her long life and we thank you for that very different offering - something not seen at any of the funeral homes we have visited. Your staff certainly put the emphasis on the visitors and members of the family. We were impressed, as well, with the wonderful odor of homemade cookies, with the dining area, with the kitchen, and all you made available to us. The huge viewing room with its many couches and chairs made if very convenient for those of us at the service. Your funeral parlor was the nicest my husband and I have ever been in and we have been to many over the years. Your slogan: “Delivering exceptional value and service since 1918” is one slogan we can truly say “tells it like it is”. Thank you for the quality of the service and for an unsurpassed staff that made our visit to Kettering, despite the sadness of our loss, a satisfying event just knowing that she was well-cared for in your hands. God bless you and your staff and we hope you have many more years to serve the bereaved.

I know my brother has written a thank you letter, but I wish to add to his sentiments. Being in Wyoming I was not always there. I know my brother felt overwhelmed at times with all the details. Barry, thank you for assisting Charles and Michelle in all the many ways you did. You made the process easier for my mother and I. It was a great service you provided and we are deeply greatful.
